His favorite colors are as bright as his homeland: bright pink, pure white, ivory, red, blue-sea water. Robert Abi Nader, one of the leading Lebanese designers present for years in the Parisian calendar of Haute Couture, arrives for the first time in Italy and chooses a location of great suggestion: the Casanatense Library in Piazza della Minerva. Lace, organza and silk tulle will have as background the precious library collection opened in 1701.

The models will parade through the 400,000 volumes, the 6,000 manuscripts and the 2,200 incunabula, of this “treasure” a stone’s throw from the Pantheon. The event is part of the events of the 2018 edition of Altaroma, will take place on Friday 29 June at 20. It will be a real show, directed and produced by Giovambattista Scuticchio Foderaro, president of Vr Production & brand management. And it will have its moment of greatest suggestion in the grand finale, with the royal wedding dress, a synthesis of the style of Abi Nader. Three colors and three different fabrics, in a fusion of pink, white and skin color, with intertwined crystal and silk stones. And to frame it all, a veil embroidered by hand with a train eight meters long.

The evening will be dedicated to the Mimo collection, a tribute to a person who represented a great deal in the creative artistic training of the designer. A career that began in the ’80s, that of Abi Nader, after graduating from the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. A period of training by Yves Saint Laurent who chose him among the most skilled young designers. And then collaborations with Claude Montana and Christian Dior.
Forty-five dresses will be presented, long, short and jumpsuits, mixed with precious fabrics and applications of plastic resin, wood microfiber, leather. Many guests for an evening that already announces itself as an event.
